To create an appealing centre for the community to gather, a sense of place needs to exist. Cade Business Park extends our understanding of what the typical commercial precinct implies by incorporating large central parklands, a communal rooftop amenity and a retail hub.
The masterplan is built around a colosseum concept, in which an existing, sunken space on the site becomes the focal point for an amphitheatre-style layout.

Workshop and studios are dotted around the central parkland while commercial premises are ideally located for access to Bolinda Road. The retail hub occupies a parkside location while the traditional warehouses are neatly laid out on the balance of the site. The gentle circular shape of the colosseum layout provides the inspiration for architectural curves employed across the site. Cladding is in lightweight polycarbonate Danpalon and corten steel. Brick screens provide for dappled light and privacy.
Workshops and studios comprise corten steel and mesh exteriors to evoke traditional inner city red brick factories while the commercial buildings and retail spaces flow with soft lines and recall the technology campuses of America’s west coast.
Warehouse units employ semi-translucent Danpalon exteriors combined with mesh screening to provide a thoroughly contemporary appearance. Each warehouse features an upright triangular façade that creates a bold and impressive entry point.
